I believe it could come back in the form of MacBook 11". It is now clear the direction Apple wants to move to, is Product, Product Air, and Product Pro. So iPhone, iPhone Air and iPhone Pro.

I suspect Apple as rumoured will introduce a low cost, $699 MacBook 11" M4, and have the MacBook Air as a more premium option. Likely thinner.
